Duds Hunt began as a web manga released on the author's personal website in three parts from September 21, 2002, to December 21, 2002, and published in print by Square Enix on May 25, 2005. The series was published in French by Ki-oon on October 14, 2004, in Italian by Edizioni BD under the J-POP imprint on July 26, 2006, and in Polish by Hanami on March 20, 2008.
